In sixth grade, I was beaten up by this group of kids after I would get off the bus three out of five days in the week. It was these four jocky eighth graders. My bus driver always sat there and waited until they would leave me. However, she would never yell at them. It was the worst thing ever… But my dad expected me to be strong like he was, so I never told him about it.
This year, my Exploring Foods teacher made us script down everything we ate and drank on one day of that weekend. I answered them honestly. After seeing what I had put, she said, “I highly feel you should go see a doctor, Stephen”.
It’s instant habit for me when I’m playing Acoustics to close my eyes. For some reason, I can’t sing without closing my eyes. I’ve even attempted to, and felt like I sounded horrible. :P
Oh goodness. That reminds me of when I was on the train to Coney Island with my photography class in July. It was a long train ride, we were there for about an hour I think? And we were all kinda just doing our own thing, and listening to our iPods… and one kid, Matt, got REALLY into what he was listening to, and started mouthing the words and had his eyes closed and he was getting real passionate. He didn’t think anyone noticed… haha. By the time he opened his eyes, we were all looking at him and some people were taking pictures. I felt bad, but it was the highlight of my whole day. :P
